Vice President – Partnerships & Business Development

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced VP to help establish multiple relationships with cancer research centers, NGS laboratories and equipment manufacturers that will enable Precision AI to develop a full solution to help patients receive better diagnoses and treatment.  You will work closely with the CEO to develop and implement growth strategies and to build a strong and effective team. In this role you will be responsible for leading the partnership & business development team to ultimately to ensure that Precision AI Solutions is in a market-leading position in the field of AI-empowered precision medicine for cancer patients. 

 

You will lead the BD team’s efforts in identifying partnership opportunities for companion diagnostic and other development efforts to help drive growth and enable the company to exceed goals.  

 

In this role, cross-functional collaboration will be key to developing and executing corporate/business development strategies. You will routinely collaborate with Precision AI’s  executive leadership team, alliance management function, finance, product, science/data, medical, regulatory/market access, clinical sales, strategy and operations, and internal legal functions.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the CEO and senior leadership team to build and execute partnership strategy to support company growth

  • Develop and manage partnerships with cancer hospitals, healthcare providers, pharmaceutical companies, biotech companies and academic institutions.

  • Lead and execute the Alliance Management agreements including kick-off for projects moving forward 

  • Lead and manage the development and execution of validation and clinical trial programs and initiatives

  • Lead business development efforts to expand the company's customer base and revenue streams

Required Skills

  • 10+ years’ experience in healthcare in the areas of BD, partnering, alliance management, marketing or other commercial roles driving and implementing Commercial growth in Life Sciences

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, life sciences, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

  • 5+ years’ experience partnering with Biotech and/or Pharmaceutical companies 

  • Ability to learn and understand healthcare, biology and technical concepts quickly 

  • Ability to structure deals and understand the needs of multiple parties 

  • Proven track record of growing Commercial through new-product development, marketing, branding, and partnerships

  • Ability to craft and execute a business strategy effectively

  • Experience in making decisions based on business metrics

  • Ability to work effectively in Cross-functional teams 

  • Willingness to travel approximately 70% 

 

Nice to have

  • Startup Experience is a plus.

  • Strong understanding of precision oncology and advanced genomics technologies.

Head of Machine Learning and AI

Job Description

About This Role

We are looking for innovative and dedicated minds to join our team and work towards bringing precision AI therapeutic solutions to every patient. 

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop AI models for the prediction of drug response and identification of molecular subtypes for cancer patients based on clinical and high throughput genomic data.

  • Build and maintain hardware, large datasets and integrative analysis workflows.

  • Build team and shape company culture.

  • Work closely with the founding team (currently CEO and CTO) and actively involved in company development strategies and fund raising activities.

Required Skills

  • Big picture thinker with ability to execute and build from scratch in unstructured, fast-paced environments.

  • Extensive experience in leading AI projects/product development using latest AI/ML techniques such as deep learning, random forest, SVM.

  • Extensive experience using high-performance computing (HPC) environment, cloud computing and managing large datasets.

  • Strong programming experience in Python, R, UNIX Bash and/or other languages.

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, be able to communicate effectively in technical and non-technical languages.

  • Solid knowledge of statistics and machine learning with good track of publications.

  • Team player, extremely versatile, highly motivated, and passionate about AI for healthcare.

  • Leadership and organizing skills. Hungry to solve wicked problems.

 

Nice to have

  • Hands-on experience with genomics (bulk RNAseq, DNA-seq, microRNA-seq) data analysis.

  • Experience filling FDA 510k and developing clinical decision software tools or software as a medical device.

  • Experience with cancer genomics datasets such as TCGA, CCLE, ICGC, GEO and etc.

  • Startup Experience is a plus.

Education

  • Ph.D., MS in Computer Sciences, Bioengineering, Computational Biology, Systems Biology, Bioinformatics or related field.
